‘Behind the Screen’ Private Museum of the Moving Image Tour
March 19, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$21 – $26Join the Deadline Club for a special THIS SATURDAY, March 19, 3 p.m. at Astoria’s Museum of the Moving Image for a private guided tour of the main exhibit “Behind the Screen,” which immerses visitors in the creative and technical side of creating film, television and digital entertainment.
Along with hands-on experience with historic film and television camera projectors, television sets and sound recording equipment, we’ll dip into the new “Deep Fake: Unstable Evidence on Screen” exhibit. This limited exhibition is only on offer through May 15 and serves as a complement to our expert panel discussion on deepfakes last year.
We’ll also have a chance to “immerse” (uh, play) our way through the Jim Henson exhibit + unique Muppet screenings and arcade games. Afterward, we’ll gather to socialize and have dinner nearby. (Cover image courtesy of the Museum of the Moving Image)
