About Our Venue
The room where we are holding our banquet may be called The Hilton Room today. But when the Waldorf-Astoria opened on Park Avenue in 1931, it was called The Empire Room. Throughout the next four decades, this was the home of a famous supper club, where legendary singers including Frank Sinatra, Henry Belafonte, Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne, Diana Ross and Dinah Shore all performed. The supper club closed in 1973, and the room’s name was changed. Somewhat confusingly, a room across the Park Avenue lobby is now called The Empire Room, so don’t go astray!
